Ironmen is a connect group for men of all ages that exists specifically to explore and restore the reality that masculinity and living for God go hand in hand. John Eldredge writes, “Like it or not, there’s something fierce in the heart of every man. Every man.” Sometimes life just gets in the way, and what matters to the soul of a man too often gets pushed to the side. More and more in our culture men tend to keep to themselves, but honestly, men need other men to encourage them, challenge them, teach them, and be there for them.
Every month, 30-40 men come together for this purpose. Whether you’re a carpenter or a cop, a mechanic or in the medical field…whether you’re a teacher or a truck driver…whether you’ve served your country or you’ve served in the kitchen…You’re a man, and your life matters. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
Jesus was a man’s man: Physically strong to endure the challenges of the wilderness testing, strong in faith, strong for his family and strong enough to stand against the enemy to protect those he loved. He didn’t form a committee. He called twelve men to follow him, and they changed the world!
