OUR BUILDING IS OPEN!

We just recently announced that we are planning to reopen our building for services beginning on June 21st. We are so excited to gather together again for corporate worship, however because we care about you and want to do our best to protect everyone from the spread of COVID-19, we will be returning to services in phases. This first phase will have stricter guidelines and we will relax the guidelines as time goes on and we feel confident that it is safe to do so.

Initially, we will be offering two Sunday services: 9am and 10:30am. Both services will last approximately 1 hour, giving us time between to clean surfaces/chairs to prepare for the next service. I know this is a huge adjustment from what we are accustomed to, but we are doing our best to maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone. Please observe the following measures that will be in place on this first phase of reopening:

  • Request strict safe social distancing
  • Hand sanitizer stations available
  • No handshakes or hugs; masks encouraged
  • Café will not be open
  • Spaced sanctuary seating
  • No paper bulletins
  • Offering buckets will not be passed. You may give online, mail in your offering, or drop your giving envelope into a locked receptacle that we will have available in the back of the sanctuary.
  • Outside doors opened by greeter
  • Inside doors will remain open
  • Intense cleaning of high touchpoint areas
  • No separate kids ministry offered (see notes about 10:30 service below)
  • If you are sick, we ask that you please stay home until you feel better.
  • Seating arrangement will follow state guidelines/standards
  • We will continue to livestream to both Facebook and YouTube (10:30 service only)
  • Since the new seating arrangement will be set up to follow CDC social distancing guidelines, we will be limiting each service to 100 people.

Please note: In order to accommodate our families who have younger children, the 10:30 service will have a couple of components especially for children. Tables will be set up in the sanctuary so that families can sit together and kids can work on sermon-related activities during service (i.e. craft, questions to answer, etc.).
Both the 9am and 10:30am services are open to individuals, couples and families with children, however the second service will be the only one that will include some items for the kids.
Please note: If you have any questions, please email us at office@highpointephrata.org or call the church office at 717-733-2628. We love you and look forward to seeing you!
